Document Statistics plugin

Live statistics for the active document, shown in a dock panel and summarised in the status bar. The numbers update as you type.

Where to find it

View ▸ Document Statistics opens the dock panel — the always-on surface. A short summary also appears in the status bar.

What it reports

• Line, word, character, and byte counts.
• The line-ending (EOL) style in use, including when a file mixes styles.
• An estimated reading time.
