Document statistics

Document statistics give you live counts for the active document: lines, words, characters, and bytes, the line-ending style in use, and an estimated reading time. The numbers update as you type.

This feature is provided by the Document Statistics plugin, which is where the full details and options are documented.

Where to see them

• Dock panel — the always-on surface; open it from View ▸ Document Statistics.
• A short summary also appears in the status bar.
