Incremental Search plugin

Search the document as you type from a compact, non-modal bar — a fast way to jump somewhere without opening the full Find dialog.

Where to find it

Search ▸ Incremental Search — shortcut Ctrl+Alt+I.

Using it

A small search bar appears. As you type, the view jumps to the first match from the caret position where the bar was opened, updating on every keystroke — so you reach your target with the fewest characters.

Control	What it does
Type in the box	Live-search; the view moves to the first match as you type.
Next / Previous	Step to the following or preceding match.
Match case	Make the search case-sensitive.
Status text	Shows whether a match was found and whether the search wrapped past the end of the document.
Esc	Close the bar.
